Queen of Gnar II
12 x 12, oil on canvas
(SOLD)
On any given day at the ski hill, I see moms and dads, and grandmas and grandpas, doing the backbreaking work of lugging the kids to the magic carpet. I see the tears, and I see the hot chocolates. But I also see the smiles, and the high fives…and the goals being achieved.
And there is nothing that I love more, nothing that makes my heart grow bigger, than when I see a ponytail sticking out of a helmet, or a crown stuck on top, or the bright colours of a little girl’s snowsuit slaying the pizzas down the hill. Because I know, that with every run, that little girl is gaining confidence. I know that no one will tell that little girl, she can’t do something. And I know that she will not be left behind.
The Queen of Gnar is inspired by all the little girls who are out there shredding the hill.
