This commission was very special for me. It was a challenging piece and I painted it over so many times. I had to persevere through many tough phases, but I couldn’t give up on it. Because this kiddo does not give up. She works hard in the water, she gets up early, and even with fatigue setting in, she gives it her last effort to reach for that wall and finish what she started.
