Cape Auguet

I grew up in a very small town.  An island, on an island, on an island.  Off the coast of Cape-Breton, you will find a little place called Isle Madame.  It is a stunning area that often gets overlooked as most tourist aim for the Cabot Trail and this is off the beaten path.  However, for people who grew up there, we know the ocean pearl that it truly is.

At the end of the road in Cape-Auguet, you will find this lighthouse.  Year after year, when I visit this corner of the world, I stop by this place and take a walk out to the lighthouse to catch a sundown.  The rugged coastline, the familiarity of the lighthouse, and the salty breeze kissing my cheeks, are genuinely comforting. I love the mountains, but this place occupies a big piece of my heart.
