Switchin' it up

We are a freestyle family and I love this piece.  It reminds me of the many days spent in the park with the kids. I remember the first time the kids tried to slide backwards on the hill, and how their tails got caught in the snow and they fell over.  I remember how they got back up and stated that they had to have twin tips.  I remember their first pair of twin tips, and how they were so excited to slide backwards with them. 

Next, they had to do the boxes. The first few times it was super slow motion to get to the box backwards.  Over time, it got easier and quicker.  They were so proud of their accomplishment. 

I truly love this painting. It throws me back to the many times when my fingers were frozen, because the kids would request that I take a video of their many attempts. Many many videos. Many Many memories.
